FALSE. One old BIG FAT lie about drugs is that they help a person become more creative. Nonsense! The truth is quite different. There are many celebrities, musicians, artists, athletes who have died or lost everything due to drugs. Not one single one of them did well with drugs or had a happy ending.
Dugs Can make you feel high and happy
FALSE. Drugs, including alcohol, affects your brain, and makes you lose control and judgement. This meals you may feel lighter and forget a problem for a moment. But that is where the danger is… you do not have any self control, so you can get violent, and say something bad or even rape a friend! And guess what, by the time the drug wears off, you are behind bars and the law can caught up with you. Is this happiness? Certainly not!
Drugs are cool. You just have to know your limits
FALSE. Drugs are against the law whether you do a little or do a lot. If you're caught using drugs, depending on your age, you can get kicked out of school, be sent to a juvenile correction center, or go to jail. As far as health and mental effects, you do not have to be genius to know. It affects your brain and straightaway, you loose control and judgement. This is why many people get addicted, because they cannot control themselves again. You can not take drugs and think you are in control. It controls you. Some people are lucky, and they quit before things get out of hand. But we are all different, and you may not be that strong to pull the breaks.
Drugs can make you feel like you
have bugs under your skin!
TRUE. Many people who abuse methamphetamine or Ritalin can feel the sensation of insects crawling beneath their skin. This can be a very scary thing! Hallucinogenic drugs, like LSD, can also make you see and feel things that aren't there, and this can include bugs and even more frightening things. It won't be long and you will start taking off your clothes on the streets because you just cannot stand the horrific feeling.
