data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Water is a renewable resource. Precipitation is water that begins as tiny droplets and becomes big drops that fall from the sky (atmosphere) in the form of snow, rain, and due.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Precipitation creates\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">run-off<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, which adds to flowing water and end up in rivers, streams, lakes, lagoons, and seas.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Some of the water also\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">percolates<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(seeps through the soil) and into underground water. This process is called infiltration.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The collected surface water then\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">evaporates<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(turns into a gas) and ends up as water vapor in the atmosphere.<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Condensation<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0occurs, and the water vapor it turned into rain-bearing clouds. In addition to that, plants absorb moisture, which also evaporates from the leaves into the atmosphere.
