High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

Have you ever wondered why High Blood Pressure (HBP) is nicknamed ‘The Silent Killer’? You can guess right. It is one health condition that shows no signs that it is going to give a person major complications or take a persons life.

Many people all over the world, especially in the USA, UK and Canada, including young men and women have had serious health complications and problems, including heart attack, stroke and many sudden deaths from HBP. Sadly, it is one condition that many people have very little or no knowledge of. Because it has no real signs and symptoms, we easily forget about it and get on with our lives, until it is too late.
Hypertension is a killer

It is very important that young people know all about HBP, because it is a health condition that once acquired, will stay with you for a lifetime, and even though there may be medications, you may have to take it for the rest of your life.

In this lesson, we shall look at what HBP is and what types there are. We shall also look at the risk factors, treatment, prevention and some important facts of High Blood Pressure.
